How to calculate my package delivery price?
[vc_column_text css=””]
Shipping costs are calculated based on a number of factors, including the package’s weight, dimensions, and distance it needs to travel. Most shipping carriers use a pricing technique called dimensional weight (DIM) to calculate shipping rates:
-
Calculate DIMMultiply the package’s length, width, and height, then divide by a standard DIM divisor. The DIM divisor varies by carrier and represents cubic inches per pound.
-
Compare weightsThe shipping rate is based on whichever is greater: the package’s actual weight or its DIM weight. This is because the bigger the package, the more it’s going to cost to ship.
